Salt River Marine Inc. opened in 1984. Its original owner, Kraig Koller, operates it daily.
Kraig started in the boat business in 1981 working at Southwest Marine, where he was a boat washer/cleaner for new deliveries. After a few months, he switched over to Apache Boats and worked in the fiberglass shop where they built 15’ Tri Hulls, 17’ Runabouts and 19’ Cuddy Cabins.
After a couple of years with Apache Kraig moved on to Sunset Boats in Phoenix where he met Fred Post Jr. It was there that Fred and Kraig decided to start Salt River Marine in 1984 doing custom paint and fiberglass repairs. Kraig bought Fred out in 1988 and has been the sole owner since
